It’s that time of year again - International Talk Like a Pirate Day!  For the twitter users celebrating the event, be a pirate for the day.  I’ve made a pirate icon template in photoshop for you to change your profile picture to a pirate.

Enter the nuber where you have or want service…again?

Do you ever get the sense that Comcast is just a few breaks short of a meltdown? For what seems to be a weekly occurance, Comcast Internet is “experiencing a service issue” in my area for internet. Last week it was cable and before that it was phone.

I actually do not mind the occasional outage but resent all of the time on the phone to resolve them.

And where does all of the time go? Entering “the number where you have or want service” over and over again. This not just a Comcast annoyance but industry wide for telcos.

I think I understand the reasons but why can’t I just enter my by once at the start of the call and they can keep it from there?

Now here is a GreaseMonkey script that will keep you focused on your work and not your Twitter account. It is a FireFox Add-on that will bock you from using specific sites.

Using the Wordpress iPhone App

I’ve yet to try the wordpress app on the iPhone yet for blogging. While I have a few minutes and a new blog that no one is reading, I thought I would give it a try.

It is a very basic application that appears to make text only entries as east as sending email. It does allow pictures from your phone but no positioning as of yet. The pictures are added below (that is a 1 of 8 in the world dell quad-core, 8g of ram super laptop lent my team for a tech event).

It is a very promising app for harcore bloggers. Especially if you “liveblog” from events.

Getting Started on my “Lifestream”

David Laubner

I’ve thought for awhile that I needed a way to aggregate all of my web tracks in one place and also provide me a more general forum for my thoughts.  I have been blogging for awhile about Boston web 2.0 startups over at 93south but that only satisfies one side of my personality.  This blog will be my center point on the web.

If you are reading this close to the date of this post - you probably see a very minimalist theme and not must customization.  This is just the start and there is much more to come. I will be integrate just about everything here.  I’m just getting started and need a post to help work customizations.

Stay tuned!
